Baboons

One kind of Old World monkey that is well-known for its unique look and social behaviour is the baboon. Usually found in Africa, these primates are distinguished by their size, strong jaws, and vibrant hindquarters. Intelligent creatures, baboons, live in vast social groupings called troops, under the leadership of an alpha male, a dominant male. Baboons in these armies have intricate social structures and use a range of communication techniques to interact with one another.

As omnivores, baboons consume both tiny animals and plant debris. They can eat a variety of items, such as fruits, leaves, insects, and even small animals, thanks to their powerful teeth and jaws. In addition to their vocalisations, baboons are renowned for their ability to interact with other members of their group via barks, grunts, and screams. All things considered, baboons are amazing animals that are vital to their ecosystems and provide insightful knowledge about the behaviour of other primates.
